We Need Your Help! – CD Artwork Selection

Hello! We hope to release our new CD in the spring. It will be songs I have written or co-written and feature me, the Brown Sisters, and Ariel Simpson. We did a photo shoot with photographer Lisa Walker over the holidays and we would like to get your input as to which photo would be best for the cd cover, CD back, and which ones would be better for the inside (this cd will also have a lyric sheet inside).

So, click on any of the images below to view the slide show. Each image is numbered. We’d like some help choosing images for the following:

  1. The CD Cover
  2. The CD Back
  3. The inside of the CD (we can also use multiple images for the inside, so feel free to suggest more than one)
Please leave your selections in the comments area below. Thanks a lot!

Note: Special thanks to Lisa Walker Photography for her great work on these photos. You’ll notice her logo as well as a “c” on each image. No, this is not the name of our new album. They were just included to protect Lisa’s copyright. 🙂

Great pictures, Tim! My favorites: #11 of all of us walking, #15 panoramic of all of us walking, #16 in the archway, and #2 standing on the ledge. Also, #5 is the best picture of the Brown Sisters, so use that one if you use any! 🙂 Thanks!

    • Maria

      #15 cover

      • Anonymous

Thanks so much, Maria. 15 just might be the cover shot!

Thanks for your feedback, Lauren. You picked all of my favorites:)!!!

  • Lauren

Oh, and #12 is great, too!

  • Dunger

tough choice 🙂 there are a lot of nice ones to choose from! We like full group vs. 3some., 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18.

Thanks so much, Debra and Kira, for your feedback:) See you in Yoga!

  • Blancheflur

I like 2 or 16 for the cover and 4, 12, 14 and 15 for the inside. All the individual portraits are good too. But why isn’t there an individual one of Tim?

    • Anonymous

Thanks so much for your feedback, Blancheflur! Maybe we didn’t get a good one of just me that day. I will check with Lisa, the photographer.

  • Iris Rosa

I like #17. They are all great photos; it was hard to select!

    • Anonymous

Thanks for your feedback, Iris! Miss you!

  • Laurel Cohen

Picture 2 for cover. picture 12 for back. picture 5 for inside

Thanks so much, Laurel. I like your choices:)

  • Gabriel Lantz

Picture 16 for the Cover for SURE! and maybe 13 for the Back or maybe just the continuation of the archway stone wall. It has a great look to it!

    • Anonymous

Thanks for your choices and ideas, Gabe! I like the the stone, too.

  • Buff Brown

    Cover #2 or #4
    Back cover #12
    Inside #16, #5, #21

Thanks, Buff! It is so interesting to see what everyone chooses. There are lots of pics getting lots of votes!

  • Anna

My favorite photo is 16 and I’d put that on the cover and 13 on the back.
Second choice would be 12 for the cover and 15 on the back.
For the inside, individual portraits. Where’s yours, Tim?

    • Anonymous

Thanks, Anna, for your choices. Yes, we need one of me, too!

  • Reedtwinbirch

    Cover #2
    Inside #15
Back cover-your favorite single head shot but where is Tim?

    • Anonymous

Thanks, Deb, for your feedback. Yes, we need to get a solo pic of me!

  • Emily_miller_114

    I like #13.

    • Anonymous

      Thanks for your choice, Emily!

I would use #16 for the cover, 12 for the back (I would have recommended 13, but the profile ruled it out), if you opt for headshots inside I recommend 21, 22, 23, and 25. I also like #4, but not sure where.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Jeckle444. We really appreciate it!

  • Lilly Brown

    For group shots I like 1, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16,17,18,

..that didn’t narrow it down very much! They’re all good 🙂

    • Anonymous

Thanks, Lilly. I know what you mean. Maybe we can include lots of them in the inside and on the lyric booklet.

  • Breshaun Joyner

Gosh, it’s kinda difficult when you’re all so darn photogenic. But if one has to narrow it down, I am a fan of #15 and #16

    • Anonymous

      Aww, shucks. Thanks, Breshaun!

  • Alice Chastain

    I like 12 or 16 for the cover, 4 for the back, and 3, 21, 22, 23, 25 & 5 for the inside.

    • Anonymous

Thank you so much for the choices, Alice!

  • Marhunt

My favorites are #2, 8, 14 and 15! These are all beautiful pictures- nice work, photographer!

      Thanks for your feedback, Marian!

  • Daniel Michalak

I like 16 for the front and 11 (or 4) for the back. For one thing, they all leave enough room to superimpose words on them. (In 11 everyone’s energy is convincingly at the same level; 4, while perhaps not an equally good picture of everyone, might make a more interesting visual contrast to 16). For the inside I like 5 paired with 20 (so that everyone is wearing coats). The solo portraits are nice, but the fact that in three of them the singers’ heads are all tilted in the same direction makes one more aware that they are posed. (And I agree with those who point out that there would then be no solo picture of you.) 12 is nice if you decide on a photo for the inside that has everyone in it.

Wow, thanks so much for your choices and the accompanying perceptive comments, Daniel!

  • Dave Cox

    cover, #2 or #15
    back, #4 or # 16
    inside, any of those four, #4, #5, #8, #9, #11, #13, #21

    • Anonymous

Thanks so much for your feedback, Dave!

  • Lok

Front cover 15, back cover 5.

    • Anonymous

Thanks for your choices, Lok. They really help us decide!

  • Deckthehalls1

#17 is my choice for the cover – Great ‘Natural’ look of all of you… but where is the owl? Need to ‘photoshop’ an owl up in the tree to make it look like it was really there when you had the picture taken! I think the back cover would be great with a collage of # 20, 22, 23 & 25 but you have to get a single pic of you Tim also!

Most definately need the owl 🙂 I was searching like in the books “Where’s Waldo” & didn’t find one in there… : (

For inside… Love the gathering ’round the piano! #4!

Thanks so much for all your creative ideas, Kathy! I like your idea of putting an owl somewhere:) That can kind of be my trademark!
